Mercy Home for Boys & Girls works with schools throughout Chicago to ensure that all of our children receive the resources and support they need to achieve their academic potential. This process starts on day one, with an educational assessment conducted by a member on the School Resources team and school placement tailored to each child’s needs. Our young people then work one-on-one with their School Resources Coordinator who monitors their progress though close communication with teachers, principals and counselors. Additionally, all of our youth meet regularly with their School Resources Coordinators to evaluate and review academic goals, which are set quarterly. Mercy Home’s young people attend more than 50 public, private and parochial schools, including:*
